Calls YCP tactics ‘cowardly’: Nellore visit
Can YCP leaders bring back jobless suicide victim Kamal?
Youth using Jagan fan to hang themselves to death
CM should give a new job calendar to fill 2.30 lakh jobs
NELLORE/AMARAVATI: TDP National General Secretary and MLC Nara Lokesh on Thursday termed it ‘cowardly’ on the part of the YSRCP Minister and local leaders to cause abduction of the family members of jobless suicide victim Kamal in Nellore today in order to suppress facts about his tragic death.
Mr. Lokesh, who made a visit to Nellore to call on the victim’s family, said that the ruling party leaders made Kamal’s family members disappear from their home overnight so as to prevent them from disclosing the facts. It was clear how the YSRCP leaders were struck with fear and shivering at the very thought of the TDP leaders’ visit to call on Kamal’s family.
Addressing a press conference during the visit, Mr. Nara Lokesh asked whether the ruling party leaders, who were using cheap tactics now, could bring the deceased jobless youth back to life. The AP educated youth and job aspirants were facing untold suffering because of the Government’s indifference and betrayals. Instead of resorting to cheap tactics, the Jagan regime should wake up from its slumber and take steps for preventing the suicides of the jobless youth.
Mr. Lokesh said that the misfortune of AP youth was that they had nobody to tell their woes even on the International Youth Day being celebrated everywhere. The unemployed youth were under increasing stress and strain because of absence of job opportunities. CM Jagan Reddy showed a physical fan (his party symbol) and manually turned it with his own hands during the election campaign, promising to fill 2.30 lakh jobs. The promise was not fulfilled and on the other hand, the Government started harassing all protesting voices. Now, Jagan Reddy’s fan was being used by youth only to hang themselves to death.
Mr. Nara Lokesh slammed the Chief Minister for breaking the hearts of the youth by releasing a fake job calendar with just 10,000 jobs. Where had all those 2.30 lakh jobs gone? What a huge gap was there between 10,000 jobs and 2.30 lakh jobs? This was why this Chief Minister should be called not Jagan Reddy but ‘Fake Reddy’. False claims were being made in the fake calendar that 6 lakh jobs were created in two years of YCP rule.
Condemning the CM’s attitude, Mr. Lokesh said that the YSRCP used a slogan before the elections that ‘Babu should go for jobs to come’. But the Gods were writing a reverse script now. Once Jagan Reddy set his fake leg in the State as CM, not just the expected industries and jobs vanished, the existing industries and jobs were also going away to other States. Many existing companies were saying ‘Bye Bye Fake Reddy’. Reliance, Franklin Templeton, Tryton, Lulu, Adani and Amara Raj bid goodbye to AP.
Mr. Nara Lokesh advised the Jagan regime to stop betraying the youth with its fake claims on the jobs like volunteers, grama secretariat staff, RTC staff, contract and outsourcing staff who were working for decades already. How can the 2.6 lakh volunteers be considered as jobs? Fake Reddy himself declared that volunteers were just doing voluntary service but now he included them in his fake job calendar.
Mr. Lokesh deplored that the unemployment rate had gone up multiple times in just two years of Jagan Reddy fake rule. Over 300 unemployed youth committed suicide after losing hope on job notifications in private and Government sectors. Their deaths did not melt the heart of this CM. The latest report of the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) revealed that there was a 38 percent unemployment rate among educated youth in AP, which was the highest in the entire South India.
Mr. Nara Lokesh recalled how Nagendra Prasad of Gopalanagaram village in Kurnool district dreamed and strove hard for becoming a Government teacher. But, after losing hope on his dream job, he committed suicide. His mother worked as a coolie and provided for his education. She made an appeal for an endless agitation till the Government created jobs for the jobless youth. The TDP would continue its fight till the adamant Chief Minister would come down and release a new job calendar with 2.30 lakh jobs.
