123 discharged from corona recovered at Gudivada Covid center

– 1,896 corona cases in the second wave in the division

The Covid Center, which was set up with 25 oxygen beds and another 25 non-oxygen beds on May 1 last month at the Gudivada Area Government Hospital, has so far recovered 123 people from the corona and discharged another 10 in a day or two, state civil supplies and consumer affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao (Nani) said. Superintendent Dr. S Indira Devi spoke on the performance of the Covid Center. Minister Kodali Nani directed to see to it that better treatment is provided at the Covid Center. Afterwards Minister Kodali Nani said that the Covid Center was providing healing through oxygen concentrators with the help of donors.  He said that he had made available 50 oxygen cylinders on his own without any shortage of oxygen or supply problems. there was almost 90 per cent recovery at the Covid center, which was made possible by providing better treatment here.  Currently the number of emergency cases of infection is declining.  It is also said to be significantly reducing the death rate.  Corona virus tests are being conducted at 12 centers in Gudivada division.  We provide medical kits and medical advice to those who have normal symptoms while keeping them in home isolation.  He also said that the vaccination process is being carried out by 24 centers in the division.  So far, 52,000 people have been vaccinated.  The second wave of corona started last April and so far 1,896 corona cases have been reported in the division.

On Friday, 5 cases were registered in Pamarru Mandal, 9 in Mudinepalli Mandal, 5 in Nandivada Mandal, 14 in Gudivada Mandal, 14 in Kalidindi Mandal, 8 in Kaikaluru Mandal, 6 in Gudlavalleru Mandal and 8 in Pedaparupudi Mandal in Gudivada division.  He said CM Jaganmohan Reddy had decided to extend the curfew till the 10th of this month.  We are looking at enforcing curfew in Gudivada division.  Meanwhile, Covid cases were declining across the state.  He said the positivity rate, which was 25.56 per cent on the 16th of last month, has now come down to 13 per cent.  Active cases have also increased from 2.11 lakh to 1.43 lakh at present.  Minister Kodali Nani opined that the number of Covid cases in the state has been declining due to CM Jaganmohan Reddy holding regular review meetings on Kovid-19 prevention and vaccination and taking steps to ensure timely treatment.
