Gudivada, June 3: State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao (Nani) has said that land acquisition for housing for middle-class people in Gudivada town should be expedited.
Minister Kodali Nani, chaired by District Joint Collector Dr Madhaveelatha, reviewed with Revenue officials on Thursday the issue of land acquisition of housing for middle class people at the Gudivada RDO office. On the occasion, Minister Kodali Nani said that the state government was ready to provide housing to the homeless middle class people, to the extent that the homeless middle class in Gudivada town would need about 400 acres. With this in view, the concerned division and Mandal level authorities were directed to hold meetings with the farmers on the process of land acquisition and take steps for land acquisition. Minister Kodali Nani said the government was paying 1.5 times more than the market price for land it was buying from farmers for housing for middle-class people. The meeting was chaired by District Joint Collector (Revenue) Dr.K. Madhavilatha, RDO G. Sreenukumar, Tahsildar Srinivasa Rao, Deputy Inspector of Survey, Mandal Surveyor, Village Revenue Officer, YSR CP State Leader Dukkipati Sashibhushan and others were present.
