GudiVada: : State Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Kodali Srivenkateswara Rao has lauded the setting up of a statue of the late SP Balasubramanyam in Gudivada town, the first of its kind in the state. Minister Kodali Nani was met by Gudivada Kalakarula Samakya Treasurer Vinnakota Satyanarayana (Bujji), members Lankapalli Prakash, Sanagapati Nageswara Rao, BV Satyam and P. Syam at the camp office in Gudivada town on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, they said that the death of SP Balu, who introduced many new singers and singers to the film industry, was a tragedy for the artists. SP Balu said the statue is being set up under the auspices of the Kalakarula Samakya near the immortal singer Ghansala statue at Rajabapayya Chowk Center in Gudivada town. Afterwards, the leaders of the Kalakarula Samakya Union Leaders invited Minister Kodali Nani to come to the statue unveiling ceremony. The event was attended by YCP state leader Dukkipati Shashibhushan, former municipal vice chairman Adapa Babji, YCP district steering committee member Mandali Hanumantrao, town president Gorla Srinu, Gudivada Area Govt Hospital Development Association chairman MV Narayanareddy and NTR Stadium committee vice-chairman Paleti Chanti.
