Amaravati, March 9, 2021: Stating that TDP is going to win in all contesting municipalities and corporations, the party General Secretary Nara Lokesh urged urban people to vote for Anna Canteens, employment for youth, tax reduction on properties in urban areas, TIDCO houses, clean and quality drinking water at free of cost, salary hike for sanitation workers, auto rikshaw stand for auto drivers and beautification of the cities, on Tuesday.
He asked voters to refuse the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy by defeating the YCP in the urban local body elections.
He recalled that, the TDP Government under N Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership launched Anna Canteens to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner at Rs 5 each to poor and middleclass people. These canteens served an average of 6 lakh people every day. On the other hand, essential commodities prices increased. Food inflation in AP as of December 2020 was 6.74% whereas the same for all India was 3.87%.
Numerous taxes have increased since the YCP has come to power. The TDP is trying to ease the tax burden on the people by giving them concessions in the tax payment in urban areas.
The YCP government changed the property tax structure putting around Rs 8,000 crore burden on the common man.
The TDP Government took initiatives for quality water supply with an estimated cost of Rs. 5500 crores, but Jagan Reddy government put it aside.
Even though Jagan Reddy promised to release the recruitment calendar on every 1st January, he ignored it, but the TDP will ensure Job Melas for every six months. Jagan Reddy abolished unemployment allowance for 6 lakh youth, which was introduced by Chandrababu Naidu. In the past 20 months, more than Rs 2 lakh crore investments gone away from State.
Free auto stands with toilet and drinking water facilities for auto drivers is another promise of the TDP.
The TDP promised a hike in salary of sanitation workers, upto an amount of Rs 21,000.
