Chandrababu condemns ex MLA arrest

Demands withdrawal of false cases against TDP leaders
TDP chief objects to attacks in Proddatur

AMARAVATI: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday came down heavily on the YCP Government for the arrest of former MLA and TDP Kadapa Parliament President Mallela Linga Reddy.

Mr. Naidu demanded immediate withdrawal of the false cases that have been filed against the TDP leader. The cases that were filed against the other TDP and Opposition leaders should also be lifted. There seemed to be no end to the unjust activities of this Government. The YCP destruction in Proddatur was condemnable.

In a statement here, the TDP chief advised the ruling YCP leaders to stop depriving the small shop owners of their livelihoods. The demolition of the vegetable market was yet another Tughlaq activity resorted to by the Jagan regime. The officials went ahead with the demolition despite the sincere and ardent appeals from the small traders there.

Mr. Naidu deplored that the shops run by the Muslim Minorities, BC, SC and STs were being brought down. The ruling party leaders were watching this rampage like silent spectators. The mindless destruction of the State started with the demolition of the Praja Vedika itself.

Stating that the YCP destruction was going on in all parts of the State, Mr. Naidu said that those who could not construct anything had no right to demolish the public wealth and property. Since coming to power, the Jagan regime has not built anything for the use of the public.
